Garmin device is very much different from the Bluetooth one. You don't need to pair it.
I will explain more after I produce separate version for Ant+ devices.

Fixed. Please test it.
Due to Ant plus specifics (If phone has no Ant+, application with Ant+ connectivity can't be deployed there), I have produced separate application that can be found under: https://github.com/sizzlelab/side/raw/master/applications/PhysicalAcitivtyAnt.apk
Left the ANT+ belt and the phone in Miyula's box in T-building A243 .
Tested on development environment, on side with Sony Ericsson. Basically, it works. Data is recorded, sessions are created. I managed to upload 8 sessions with data. But after that I keep getting the message that Login failed, when I try to upload more. I actually do not know, what is the problem now.
When the belt is not used, it is simply not possible to go to Record Physical Activity, maybe it would be nice to add some notification, like: Put on your belt to record the data or smth else.
@katuta the first part may be a problem with Physical Activity as well. Could you please also test regular application against same scenario? Thanks
With regular application , *I cant get the device paired. All the time get the message - Pairing problem. I have reinstalled the application several times, and bluetooth. Doesnt help. any ideas?
Weird - I just tried it and could get devices paired with both Ant+ and HxM version. Did you ever see the pairing dialog (Notification in the bar on the top saying "Bluetooth pairing request") ?
Yes,isaw this message, but after i always got a massage : bluetooth pairing problem, try to restart your bluetooth connection and try again. I did that, but the result was the same. Maybe i was doing smth wrong.
answer to mataanin's comment from January 22, 2012: BT version of application works fine with many measurements done, for example uploaded 02.02 9 sessions. all went fine
then lets close this.
