Stodden2009 doesn't explicitly mention MIT. Current wording kind of suggests this is a reference for all of: "to use a permissive license such as MIT or BSD"... Maybe add reference to MIT licence text?
Also possibly add: Alternatively, to ensure derived versions of your code remain open source too, use the GPL license (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/#GPL).
