Hi I have implemented initial TLS/SSL support. This is what you can do with these changes:

AUTH_LDAP_TLS: Enable TLS/SSL.
AUTH_LDAP_TLS_VALIDATE: Toggle whether the certificate will be validated.
AUTH_LDAP_TLS_CA_CERTS: Provide a file with the CA certs to verify the server certificate.
AUTH_LDAP_TLS_LOCAL_CERT and AUTH_LDAP_TLS_PRIVATE_KEY: Perform client authentication with private key and certificate.

Merged and published in version 0.9.5, now on PyPi.

You've helped a huge way towards 1.0 - this was the last major feature for that release
