It is stated in the user guide that editing the data files is only recommended for advanced users and such cases are rare.

Reason for disagreement: Upon looking at this issue again, I feel that the Severity should be High.
While it might not happen to most users, it can happen to any user, and the outcome is disastrous. The users may not be able to use the app ever again since the app will not be able to load up/present any useful information to help user correct the error.
Furthermore, stating that editing the data files is only recommended for advanced users does not mean that only advanced users can go and edit the files. In fact, any users can edit the file.
after editing two lessons to have same date and time, I'm not able to open the app. By default, the app should start with a new empty data file instead, as stated in UG
"If your changes to the data file makes its format invalid, JARVIS will discard all data and start with empty data files at the next run"
