This is aimed at those who have very little computing experience. I imagined it would include things like 'set up a wifi network', 'google an error message to troubleshoot' and 'video call with friends/family'. Was picturing if my grandfather picked up the book and wanted to get started somewhere simple, and potentially use a 'technology for seniors' curriculum for inspiration.
Thanks! See, in my particular bubble this would have been the use of numpy
and pandas
for high performance number crunching
Haha! Maybe I should split into Basic Computing and something else. I was thinking about adding Data Analysis but ended up settling on Research Skills for a broader introduction. As always, open to suggestion, and you're very welcome to add others I haven't thought of as yet.
Computing feels very generic, is there any particular scope that you had envisioned for this skill tree?
