Tracking development on main-next branch:

[ ] high level API
[ ] browser verification
[x] extcrypto removal (see: https://github.com/sjudson/paseto.js/issues/31)
[x] change from master to main (i.e., when main-next is done it'll be renamed to main and master will be deleted)

Hi sjudson, I just found this library and wondered about the state and how you plan on continuing develoment?

I am asking to get a gage as to how much I can rely on this library and also await 1.0 features.

I totally understand that time is a scarce resource 🙈 .

This lib already is so helpful as is 👍.

Unfortunately I can't make any promises re: a timeline to get to 1.0.0. Generally speaking any changes to the PASETO spec I will update promptly for the low-level API. I'd like to add the two main 1.0.0 features (verification of public PASETOs in the browser and a high-level API) in the next couple months, but I only work on the project when I have time/energy, which tends to be inconsistent.
