Since a tag cannot start in one structural element and then end in another i.e. if two quotes go together to create one piece of evidence, it still has to be marked separately. Is there a way to mark it so they will always appear coupled when recalled on another page? ex '"No," he said firmly . . . Then she came resolutely down the steps." '"There's a swifter car in the garage" . . . she answered."

@sjw82 See the top of http://ft.obdurodon.org/projectLog.xhtml. This isn't the only way to do it, but it's pretty common. As long as the attributes record which parts of a divided quotation go together, you can treat them as a single quotation during processing.
