Interesting Project ... I am a Coreldraw user of more than 10 years ... I like sK1's UI so far. #325

Hi,

I am surprised i found this project so late ... I am a Coreldraw user of more than 10 years, I like what i see, especially some of the similarities with the Coreldraw application ...

  1. The panel on the right ... i could find the 'Shaping' panel which is very similar to Coreldraw.

  2. The color palette on the right of this panel, again a welcome resemblance - can we increase the number of lines(columns) of the color strips(like its possible on Coredraw?). The current single line palette strip is inconvenient as scrolling down to see other colors from the palette kind of breaks the design flow. Colors are best spotted then scrolled down to find them. So a multi column color palette strip is certainly a plus, if it can be(or is already) a set milestone(nice to add if it isn't)

3. Will sK1 too have a Coreldraw type multi page feature ? If this is considered then this will certainly and easily become a very strong replacement for Coreldraw on Linux.

  1. Currently i see the file tab is just below the 'Menu' panel, Does sK1 too want to place various toolbars in between the menu panel and the file tab ? Are there any toolbars like Coreldraw has that can be enabled ?

  2. Is there any manual of sorts that illustrates the full scope of this application and its features ? Would love to go through it to check whats available and whats not .

A potential project that can find its own space in the vector graphic application space especially on Linux(other OS'es have Coreldraw and Adobe) ... a more Linux focused vector graphic application is a need of the hour considering Inkscape has a steep learning curve.

I like sK1 so far as it bears comforting similarities to Coreldraw UI/UX.

Cheers.

Wow, you alread have this feature ... don't you ? This just got me excited, especially after Inkscape failed to grab my attention as a result of its steep learning curve ... sK1 just won me over ... I seriously hope you have worked out a manual into sK1 ... do you ?

I love this feature from Coreldraw as it lets me have multiple pages and more importantly the grid of one page matches the grid on other pages, i mean i can copy design elements from one page and paste to multiple pages and it will get pasted at the exact same position on all those pages, a feature i could not find on Illustrator(does it have something similar ?)

Does sK1 have the option of opening multiple palettes like Coreldraw ? A multi-palette and multi column color strips per palette is so appreciated !

Options to setup Custom Shortcuts like Coreldraw ?
