asn & Network statement #238

Open olafm opened 12 years ago

olafm commented 12 years ago

The most common problem that users (who have never used ANK before, and probably not looked at the documentation carefully enough) faces is that they spell ASN in capital letters or don't put a "Network"-statement at all. ANK crashes typically with a strange bug. Would it be possible to check for the presence of the "asn" and "Network"-graph properties and give a meaningful error message if the tag is not present or expected to be there?

Thanks for the bug report. Is this for policy or the physical network from yed? Cheers Simon

it's a usability-only issue from yEd. just that it's counter-intuitive for someone using yED with autonetkit.

thanks.
