Calendar: Improve color visibility #2

Some colors are hard to see (mainly dark-on-dark colors). Avoiding such cases (perhaps by recoloring text) will be good.

There's also aesthetic concerns. White-on-pastel tends to look better than black-on-pastel, and in general could use a look.
