Feature Rich Responsive Lightbox

I wanted to suggest a more feature rich responsive lightbox for this awesome plugin to future-proof upcoming feature additions. EG: "Download individual images", "Star Photo".

The two best I've found are:

1. Responsive Lightbox, the highest rated WP Plugin, uses a licenced version of lightgallery, which is another super clean plugin. Licence $29.
2. The WordPlugin above also has a licence version of fancybox v3 which looks clean too. Licence $18.

The "Single Commercial Licence" should be sufficient for both.. I'd be happy to cover the costs if you're happy to add it ;). This would also mean not worrying about future browser support or fixing JS issues, as they both provide future updates. .

Hi, thanks for doing the research around this.

I only had a cursory look as I don't have much time right now. But @kalich5 said he likes lightGallery.

I think we need to look at it more deeply before deciding whether to switch horses:

• What additional features would the switch bring (or enable)?
• What features would be lost? (e. g. video)
• What are other benefits/drawbacks of each of the libraries?
• How much work would be associated with switching?
• What is the size ("page weight") of the libraries. (I know it's probably just a drop in the sea that is WP, but I hate bloat...)
• How well are the libraries maintained? Are they open to PRs?

Help welcome (but not strictly required) with looking into these questions.

lightGallery and fancybox cost $299 and €199/y respectivelly for this usecase - not happening
