we had a feature request for an animal following our main character.
I suggest a generic concept of teams or groups - where characters can connect and collaborate in various ways.
for the start they would 1) see the stats of each other 2) be able to follow the leader
this would be expanded into more offline and later multiplayer capabilities.
for example: influence stats of each other, trade and exchange resources, maybe a group chat
to implement following story: you find an animal on the edge of a forest, make a pact, go to the city store to buy food for the animal.
As for stats: we will need to think about these, but we should treat it as an adjustable hash map. Let's say each character can have "cash", "health", and "energy" for the start. There could be direct dependencies between stats, such as being on low energy will have a slightly negative influence on your health.
Maybe each character could have stats defined in the character editor.
