changes:

get the focus when the window open, so that we can hit a key without focusing with the mouse pointer
use WM_CHAR message to get the glyph corresponding to the key pressed
use WM_SYSKEYDOWN, WM_SYSKEYUP, WM_SYSCHAR so that we can catch alt key
fill Chord field to have the combinaison of keys

Suggestions:

I think combinaison of keys may be more useful on KeyDownEvent not on KeyTypedEvent, cause for example no keytypedevent were generated when hit Ctrl+Alt+A cause this does not generate any Glyph.
- Some special keys were missing in wde.keys.go, we may add some keys.

Just in case you're still around, could you verify that this still works and add yourself to AUTHORS?

Not sure if you care 3 years later, but thanks! I merged your code and ran with it, added translations for the rest of the common virtual keycodes, polished some corner cases and even managed to merge the WM_SYSKEYDOWN and WM_KEYDOWN cases!

It's available at my fork sqweek/go.wde where I'll be carrying on skelterjohn's work, as he is busy with other things these days :)

ok thanks for the news. Yes I don't use this project now. 3 years later I would try it with llgcode/draw2d project
