View and filters resets after a while #154

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start XBMC + RCB
2. Put in any filter, any view that has games
3. Wait a minute or so

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

All games dissapear from list, View goes to either info 2 or files depending on 
skin.
If I open filter and change something everything re-appears
However the View is always reset to info 2 or files

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Linux Debian Wheezy, Kernel 3.2.0 (x86_64)
XBMC 12.2
RBC 2.0.10

Please provide any additional information below.

This was also the same in 2.0.8 that I ran before. Upgrade did not fix the 
issue. I have only tried with NES and SNES scraped games. Full collection US 
collection so about 1500 games.

Would like to add that this is still an issue in Debian Testing, XBMC 13.2 and 
RBC 2.0.17

I see the same thing in 2.0.17.

If I leave my list of ROMS up for about a minute, something happens and they 
all disappear.  I have to manually change the filter back to what I want to see 
them again.

Actually, it seems to happen when the screensaver activates.  Don't know if 
this is causing the ROM list memory to be freed or something.

Alright, I'm not a good programmer but this issue is almost a year old and 
needs to be fixed immediately, so i looked into a fix. It appears that the 
RetroRig dev found a workaround in this patch: 
https://github.com/beaumanvienna/xbmc/commit/287fec888962719ec7cdc65c6899f2216cb
5acfa apparently the way RCB handles drive change events causes the screen to 
blank.
