Crowdsource funds to pay overdue school lunch balances #105

Kids are sometimes shamed or forced to eat less nutritional lunches if they have an overdue balance on their school lunch account. Some people were recently inspired to call their local schools to pay off these balances, but I worry that some kids attending less popular schools might miss out on these peoples' kindness.

It would be cool to crowdsource funds to pay down or pay off these balances on a regular basis. If we could collect general balance information for elementary, middle, and high schools in HISD it might be feasible.

Awesome! Definitely bring this up at Tuesday's "find your data" event, and let's see if we can request the data you'd need!

I like this idea. Did this project ever get off the ground? I'd like to revisit this idea for the upcoming hackathon 2018 if anyone is interested.
