Sidewalk inventory! #159

Using the Google Street View API, develop a method for detecting the presence of a sidewalk. Is it possible to create an inventory of sidewalks by neighborhood, especially Complete Communities neighborhoods?

Hey Jeff, are you planning on working on this at the hackathon, or just posing the idea? I'm interested if someone has an idea of where to start on this project.

Clint McManus at H-GAC already has a sidewalk inventory. There is also an effort to do sidewalk audits with AARP's app. Clint's inventory only notes whether a sidewalk exists, not its condition.
