It is infuriating and heartbreaking to see ads of mothers desperately seeking free or cheap housing, followed by ads of landlords seeking to rent out their rooms in exchange for sexual favors.
I am not a coder but a person that combats trafficking as an analyst. Looking for people that can scrape craigslist and automate the process of identifying:
1) landlords attempting to sexually exploit the vulnerable. Is there a way to automate tips to law enforcement? What will law enforcement's response be to these tips? Won't know until we try. Maybe the tips should go to Craigslist? Will that disrupt or curve landlord - tenant exploitation? What are the trends?
2) identify ads of those desperately seeking free or cheap housing. Is there an automated way of notifying them of housing resources or referring their plea for help ads to social service agencies?
