🔥 Your Pitch
Problem Statement:
It is very difficult for a blind person or person with his hands paralysed to find a scribe who could write the exam for him/her. Most people are busy in their day to day life and therefore blind people waste a considerable amout of time in finding a scribe. Also the scribes come with their own problems.
1) Lot of paper work goes into registering for a scribe because of which no one volunteers
2) Scribes have to be paid money for their services
3) Their handwriting may not be neat.
4) They might not be technically sound in the field so might end up writing something different from what the examinee might have dictated.
5) There could be a conflict of interest between the scribe and the examinee and is is difficult to establish that fact.

Approach:
Our approach to solving this problem is introducing a new examination system which does not require a scribe. The application that we intend to create leverages the power of voice recognition and text to speech technology. The blind person can give simple voice commands like "go to next question", "read out current question","read out the answer that I wrote" and application would perform the appropriate tasks. The blind person can also give the answer to a particular question using his voice. The system also provides for ways to format the answer in the way the examinee wants it to. Just through his voice he would be able to write answers in points or paragraphs and he can also edit the answers that he dictated intuitively and with ease. The system will also work for MCQ type questions. The whole examination will be voice controlled and there is no need for an external scribe in such an environment.
Beneficiary:
The ones who will benefit the most are the blind and paralysed students. Such a system would relieve the burden of finding a scribe and also it would remove the dependency of the students on an external agent to write the exam.
Uniqueness of the solution
Currently, there is no system available for blind people to give exams other than the traditional scribe based system. Such a system would revolutionize the way exams are given by blind and paralyzed people and could make their life a tad bit easier.
Use cases:
Such a system could be employed anywhere from CBSE/State Board exams to other entrance exams like JEE Main/Adv to other University exams.
Business Model:
Every year lakhs of disabled students write their Board exams and annually 180 Cr is spent by the students in getting a Scribe. But with our V-Scribe, even if we charge Rs 100 per exam (which is 1/3rd or 1/5th the money spent by a student on a scribe depending on thr board) a revenue of 54 Cr can be generated per year.
🔦 Any other specific thing you want to highlight?
Currently there doesn't exist any such solution which aims to provide assistance to the specially abled in writing exams. This application aims to remove the dependency on a human scribe which are not always reliable and are not very efficient sometimes. Our application is very interactive and almost all the features that can be provided by the human scribe are implemented such as editing answers, answering point-wise, marking answer for review and many more.
