MishMash hackathon is India’s largest online diversity hackathon. Short Project Description: Through the app we match the supply- demand & delivery of essential items like groceries, medicines, protective goggles and nitrile gloves etc.

A portal for building stronger community support to help each other and better management of essential resources like food, health and hygiene facilities.
Features of the App and use cases:
Provide essential items - People can serve boiled water in containers, home cooked food, make sanitisers, soaps and stitch medical gowns and masks at home or provide ready-made extra groceries, medicines, protective goggles and nitrile gloves etc to provide for the needy.
These items will be picked up by NGO volunteers, police officers on patrolling, govt authorised vendors, hospital staff or authorised taxi drivers. Once the items reach the given location, the recipient acknowledges it on the app and count of requested items is accordingly reduced.

Each act of service earns the user some virtual coins which can be redeemed later for asking help
Government can award amount to people in proportion to the number of coins earned
Flag yourself as COVID-19 victim: This feature helps in contact tracing and lowering the rate of spread of the virus.
A person who has been tested positive marks himself with this feature. The person further selects all those people with whom he came in contact in the last 15 days (incubation period of COVID-19). He/ She also informs all the public places that he has visited to the police.
The app issues a notification via email or text message (whichever is found in the contact list) to those selected persons. They are issued an alert that :
“I have been tested positive for COVID-19. You may have contracted an infection as we met within the last 15 days. Please isolate yourself, to prevent this from spreading”
See potential/ confirmed COVID-19 victims in your area
Request essential items: People who are sick or show COVID symptoms should request meals and other essential items through the app. Community should come together to provide for their needs, especially for those who want to isolate and self-quarantine but can't afford it. A maximum amount of quantities can be requested by each household.
