Project Name - Fake News Detection on Social Media
Short Project Description - . A recent surge of researching in this area has aimed to address the key issues using methods based on machine learning, deep learning, feature engineering, image and video analysis, together with newly created data sets and web services to identify deceiving content.
Fake News has been around for decades. With the advent of Internet and widespread usage of social media in modern times, the detection of media-rich fake news has been a popular topic in the research community. A recent surge of researching in this area has aimed to address the key issues using methods based on machine learning, deep learning, feature engineering, graph mining, image and video analysis, together with newly created data sets and web services to identify deceiving content. Our project aims to use machine learning and Natural Language Processing techniques to detect fake news based on the text content and sample images.
