🔥 Your Pitch

The current method of tracking community cases and management of home-based quarantines, involves large amounts of paperwork and has limited capacities in administrations down the line to monitor, enforce and use the same. These capacities vary greatly across states leading to poorer containment efforts in states with weaker administrative bandwidths. Our project is built to combat this problem. Using 3 distinct mobile applications and 1 website, we are able to link together all the different aspects of managing a widespread pandemic with minimal resources and maximum efficiency. 1) The Quarantine Management Application or QMA is used to track home-quarantined citizens and monitor their health status multiple times a day. 2) The Effort Management Application or EMA is used to manage all the different quarantined citizens and keep tabs on their progress in terms of health and public safety. The online dashboard can be used to view all the data and gain insights from them. The companion mobile application is intended for field officers and allows easy entry of data points related to each user while also generating alerts for visits. 3) The Citizen Management Application or CMA is used the ordinary citizens to gain information from the government regarding potential hotspots, hygiene tips and safety precautions. This application can also be used to request a checkup based on a risk score and view the past infection spread with a heatmap.

🔦 Any other specific thing you want to highlight?

Azure App Services is being used to host the backend and the website. The database used is cloud based MongoDB Atlas running on Azure. Azure Cognitive Services is being used for the Face API to verify the quarantined users. Azure Maps is being used to display user locations on the dashboard.

Future Azure Services that can be used are Azure Machine Learning to generate the Risk Score for citizens and Azure Bots to add a chatbot ensuring all questions be citizens are swiftly answered. Azure Databricks can be used to provide meaningful insights about the data and perform useful analysis. Azure Notification Hubs can be used to easily send push notifications to all of the mobile applications.
