While updating the workflow to replace all mentions of *.csv files with *.csv.gz files (in preparation for merging PR #154 ), I noticed that the add_carbon step is not able to produce csv.gz files, so the output file of this step (and any step that uses this file) are restricted to uncompressed csv files.
