Any plans for a MakeMeAHanzi app? #12

I'm currently accessing it in my mobile (Android) though the Hanping Chinese app, but it would be great if there was an official app from you guys! Nothing to far from what you have already have, except maybe an extra option to search a character either by typing or drawing them. Keep up with the good work!

Thanks for the kind words! Personally, I don't feel like this project has enough content to justify an app on its own - it really would just be "draw a character with approximately correct stroke order; get an animation back". The simple definitions included here is no substitute for a real dictionary.

On the other hand, I was able to use this data to make a pretty decent Chinese writing flashcards app. Have you taken a look at that? If anything, the character lookup might fit as an additional tool in that app.

What about an actual desktop-based app?

There is a desktop version of Inkstone (the flashcards app) for Mac and for Windows: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gi9tutin9qbe8hg/Inkstone.dmg?dl=1 https://www.dropbox.com/s/uupgyq5xizpkas5/Inkstone.zip?dl=1

There's no app that's just for browsing characters, although on https://makemeahanzi.herokuapp.com/ you can do just that.
