How do you calibrate? #2

Hi Skjelland, I could not set the Parakeet due to GSM service, so I really interested in wdrip. I think wdrip will upload the raw data to azure directly, then how do you calibrate?

skjelland commented 8 years ago

currently, there is no calibration support in wdrip. the code simple uploads the value as is, so at best, it should be used as raw-only. ideally, the nightscout website should have functionality for adding calibrations, and then a new upload methods for raw-only devices, then the calibration calculations could be done in the upload process (on the server side)

Thanks for your feedback, can we upload the raw data on Google app engine using wdrip as Parakeet? https://jamorham.github.io/ Then, we can calibrate with xDrip+ app. If possible, I think this method is very useful.

I haven't confirmed yet but I suspect if you use wdrip to upload the raw, xdrip mobile to do a calibration then xdrip/nightwatch/nightscout will use the raw value and the calibration and show the correct glucose

Got mine configured just now, it uploads to nightscout and shows however the bg is quite off compared to the same value looking at xdrip
