Are we sure that 1X2 Prongs is more common than 1x2? #33

The rule to use X was carried over from my work on an Owens & Minor data project. I do not believe I would have made the decision arbitrarily, I do not remember clearly my thought process.

We should check our catalogs and competitors to confirm that X is a better choice than x.

Upon researching 9 competitor catalogs I found that all use the small "x" and 6 out of 9 do not have any space between the numbers and the "x". Although the Sklar catalogs are very inconsistent, even within each catalog, it appears that the small "x" and no space is more common.

Okay, it sounds like we should change the style guide to prescribe 1x2 Prongs. You can make the change unless you have any reason to argue in favor of keeping it 1X2.
