Abbreviation for French

1) Those contradict each other 2) I thought that "17 Fr" was the most common (not "17Fr" or "17Fr." or "17 Fr."). Can you check some catalogs and competitors and see what's most common?

A review of 14 catalogs reveals that when referring to French measurements, the entire word "French" is spelled out most frequently (versus using any format of abbreviation; 13 out of 14 catalogs.) However, there is inconsistency with this as well. Most commonly the word "French" is spelled like a proper noun, meaning the "F" is a capitol letter and the rest are lowercase. Most commonly there is a space between the measurement number and the word "French". (e.g. 5 French)

Catalogs that use abbreviations for French measurements, most commonly used 2 capitol letters with no space in between measurement number and the letters. (e.g. 5FR)

I have revised the description for reflecting French measurements in the Size / Model field in the Data-Style-Guide from using an abbreviation to spelling out the word "French."

This was done based on the above comment regarding research of competitor catalogs and additional research done today on the Sklar website where spelling out the word is prevalent.

A final decision regarding this issue should be made so that it can accurately be explained in the guide.
