Some brands need color indicators #39

e.g. Sklar Edge TC has the sub-bullet "Dual Gold Finger Rings"

Sklarhone should have "Dual Black Finger Rings"

etc.

We have a file that lists the handle colors for our premium scissors. https://db.tt/hS0LWInv

mwmalinowski commented 10 years ago

To be clear: the colored boxes in the first column are visual markers within the document and do not indicate the colors of the instrument.

Additional colors have been added. Please review.

A link to the above file has not been included in the data-style-guide because I found it to be more confusing than helpful. Too much information. I think if we indicate what colors the handles are in the guide it will be more easily understood. (??)

@sklar-sherryp, I agree that the premium line comparison spreadsheet could be confusing in the context of the style guide. I provided it to you simply because it was available data from an industry comparison project; not because I felt that all of its information should be included in the style guide.

I think we should add color information under the Brand heading for our chemical products. The color is usually listed on the MSDS as "Appearance:"

If you want I can find the chemical colors I used in my Owens project, but most (if not all) of those colors were chosen after considering the appearance listed in the MSDS.

It's worth double checking these against the MSDS but here's what I had from my Owens project:

The following isn't a Sklar brand, but its color and materials were hard enough to track down that I felt it worthwhile to include them here:

Note that I generally only worry about the active ingredients

sklar-sherryp commented 10 years ago

Should the word "material" be used or "ingredient"?

Should both "activated" and "unactivated" colors be shown? (I used the word "unactivated" versus "inactivated" based on what is on the MSDS.)

sklar-sherryp commented 10 years ago

Additional research still needed for a few cleaning product materials. Those items have been left blank temporarily.

sklar-sherryp commented 10 years ago

Completed materials for cleaning products.

Materials that appear vague are a result of the product not containing hazardous materials (and therefore not requiring an MSDS) and minimal labeling information.
