Need a new format or new repo for instrument specific rules

We need somewhere where we can provide answers to questions like:

• Rasp or Raspatory? Is there a difference?
• Forcep or Forceps?
• Scissor or Scissors?
• What does Sharp/Blunt mean on scissors? Does it matter which blade is sharp and which is blunt? Are ligature scissors Sharp/Blunt or Blunt/Blunt?
• How are replacement parts supposed to be named? Which field values (if any) should derive from the accompanying products and which should be unique to the replacement part?
• How do we enter procedure trays and procedure kits?

etc.

I'm concerned that we may be approaching a point where expanding the structure of our single-document style guide may lead to noise/confusion/intimidation.

Any suggestions?

If you create a new repository for "Instrument Specific Rules" I will begin to design it.

I have found some good information regarding differentiating between "Forceps" and "Clamps" etc.

My question / concern is - if we go into this kind of detail, is the plan / goal to incorporate it into the website and if so, are we going to muddy the waters for those who follow "industry standard" and just consider "forceps" and "clamps" the same instrument?
