Should we add a line at the beginning of the guide about the availability of the thesaurus and provide the link?
Would it be acceptable to indicate that reference to the thesaurus is an option but that if the guide specifies use of a specific word (eg: using "fully" versus "strongly") that word should be used?
I think we should wait to have the style guide link to the thesaurus; I'd rather not link to a barely-started document. Once we flesh it out and make a few revisions and then I think we should add a link to the style guide.
I have a starting point in Dropbox > References > Guides > Thesaurus.xlsx (Note multiple spreadsheets)
The thesaurus can offer alternative spellings and additional surnames and can list common misspellings/misconceptions.
For instance: We have a "Verucca Curette". One could naturally assume that Verucca was a surname. Verucca is actually a misspelling of verucca which is more commonly known as a plantar wart.
We could also consider including definitions/descriptions of common terms and procedures.
