Can you attach a sample that reproduces the issue?

I can definitely hear the screeching, but I can't get audio to play in windows
media player and the video won't even play in quicktime. Is there possibly an
encoding issue?
Have you submitted this upstream as well? Have you tried it on linux w/ gst git?

The file was taken directly from a television broadcast. If I play back in 10.6
there is no problem with the audio, so I don't know if that means that it's
possible that the file is corrupt or not.

Please, check that you are using the same audio sink in both version, the
directaudiosink is broken IIRC

I am. I tried waveformsink as well as outputting the audio to a file (with and
without encoding it first), and it has the same problem. I think the problem is
actually a52dec because every file I have that has ac3 audio has this problem
with 10.7beta2. I have not submitted anything upstream nor am I able to try
linux. I will upload some more samples in case you were concerned about it
being the particular file I had.

@David: Can you reproduce it with the latest build? I was unable to compile the
last sources, because the update requires latest liborc, and I need to rebuild
all the deps (my windows machine is extremely slow and I'll have to wait a
couple of days)

It looks like the last build of liba52dec is broken. Replacing this library
with the one of 0.10.6 build fixes the issue.

I have reverted liba52-0.dll for the release (see r925)

I can reproduce it. I should get a correct build, though. Just curious, why
would you need to rebuild all the deps? We already have most of them built. :D

Because I deleted accidentally the build folder, and from time to time a
rebuild everything from scratch. But you are right, no need for that :P

I believe this is resolved for now.
