Which files do include the most recent version of the project - UFO or SFD?

skosch commented 6 years ago

Hi Stefan, I want to say UFO but I'm not even 100% sure anymore. Your best bet at the moment may be to start with the Latin from Amiri, which is also Crimson but at least Khaled knows what he's doing in terms of font production.

Before you start anything though – you're aware that @Fonthausen is completely reworking the entire family at the moment, right?

Fonthausen commented 6 years ago

SFD

I am working on a new version in Glyphs. https://github.com/Fonthausen/Crimson

StefanPeev commented 6 years ago

@skosch @Fonthausen Thank you! I'll try my best to add Cyrillic glyphs where they are missing. Or... do you plan something else?

Fonthausen commented 6 years ago

Please take in account that the new version is going to be quite different. If you want to add missing Cyrillic to Crimson Text, I would work in the original files.

It will take a few months to finish the whole new family.

I have long started working on this project and I even made a branch local on my repository. But I didn't have enough time to finalize my work. I'll continue to work on this project and I'll upload my results at the branch local. I'll show you at the Gallery section of the branch a preview of the results like this. @Fonthausen Let me know whether do you plan to add Cyrillic script to the new version. If you do, it's OK and even wonderful, If you don't - I'll want to see the new Latin script and then I'll think what to do. @Fonthausen I do not work with Glyphs. So, If you upload UFO files, it will be great!

@skosch @Fonthausen You could see the first results in the Gallery section.
