Why did you join sktime's mentorship program? I have passion to contribute in open source data science projects particularly in the context of time series. In pursuit of this, I selected a dissertation project related to sktime and now strive to expand my capabilities while contributing to the platform.

What topics are you working on? I am interested in time series classification and want to test different algorithms in the toolkit using a wide range of datasets available in UEA/UCR repository. I also aim to introduce new algorithms in the toolkit.

What are your learning goals? My main aim to work on this collaborative project is to develop key skills that are mandatory for today's ever-changing workplace. Though the shelf life of tech skills is decreasing in today's fast-paced and highly demanding workplace, skills like working in diverse teams collaborating and contributing to complex projects are most sought after. I am confident this project will not only empower me to develop such skills but also give me a platform to demonstrate.

What's next for you after the mentorship program? I have long-term ambitions with sktime and aim to share my knowledge with new aspirants to expand the network of contributors.
