Why did you join sktime's mentorship program?
I am completing my dissertation on the sktime-dl package. I chose this because I wanted to learn about open source projects and improve my coding skills in a team environment.
What topics are you working on?
I am currently working on implementing a CNTC algorithm although this is mainly being used as a learning tool to familiarise myself with the package.
What are your learning goals?
I want to improve my understanding of github functionality and coding as part of a larger team. I also want to better understand how to structure code as part of a larger framework.
What's next for you after the mentorship program?
Ideally the skills learnt here will help me grow as a programmer and get me a job. I would like to continue to contribute to open source projects in the future.
