Why did you join sktime's mentorship program?

• to get guidance in my deep-dive into ML, the area that fascinates me very much;
• contribute to developing an open-source toolbox, which is meaningful to me;
• explore time series in particular;
• work with skilled and experienced professionals and get experience in collaborating.

What topics are you working on? I work mainly on extending the forecasting module.

• make meaningful contributions to a project (PRs, PR reviews, documentation);
• learn and use best practices in collaborating;
• understand API design;
• learn core concepts of forecasting with TS (and math behind them);
• learn and implement ML tools to solve a practical problem;
• contribute to organizing open-source community events.

What's next for you after the mentorship program?

• continue contributing to sktime;
• further explore ML and statistical analysis;
• become a ML engineer.
