Trial .NET 8 for new application
.NET 8 will be officially launched in November 2023. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/core/whats-new/dotnet-8
It is an LTS (Long Term Support) version, replacing .NET6, which become out of support in November 2024. Eventually we should look to migrate existing .NET 6 applications to .NET 8, but initially we should trial for new applications written in .NET
