Summary:

Your feature request is awesome and very high level. The English usage and technical terms are great. I like that you have 2 features that would be good to add in order to improve users' Jammming experience. I thought the technical design was outstanding with visual cues and detailed instructions on implementation. Caveats were well thought out. Nice work!

Having to search again after SPOTIFY connection can annoy some users. I was thinking that the API should connect upon load. If the current implementation stayed the same, perhaps the search bar could auto-suggest the title as they type or suggest their recently typed items.

Anyhow, keep up the good work. I'm sure your Jammming project is also awesome.
