Bounding boxes are too big #455

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start WBC
2.load the potassium channel model
3.Zoom to it

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The bounding box does not fit tightly around the potassium channel. instead
it is large and the bounding box isn't even centered on the potassium
channel.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.
Its possible this doesn't happen every time you load it up. It may only
happen after the system has been played with for a while

I followed these steps after starting WBC up and the error was not reproduced.
Bounding boxes are normal.

Okay, try this recipe:

1. Start up WBC
2. Load web service slide 7
3. Load web service slide 4
4. Unload web service slide 7
5. Load all mesh models
6. Double click Spiny dendrite 3view
7. bounding box is HUGE.

It looks like that recipe didn't work for me either. I tried twice and could not
reproduce. Maybe this could be a platform-dependant problem?

Jesus showed me on his system and he says it's random which mesh has an
odd-sized
bounding box, but two usally are. I went through every mesh model and separated
them
out to be certain of no optical tricks, and found that none of them had
strange-
