Clicking maximize window button and resizing window causes total freeze up of computer. User is unable to interact with computer. #533

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Click on maximize window button or resize window

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expect to be able to interact with computer. Instead, all user input from mouse 
and keyboard is ignored. Must hard reboot (i.e. turn off computer and turn it 
back on).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Version 0.7.7.0. Macintosh OSX 10.6.

Please provide any additional information below.

Sporadic but happens often.
