I've noticed that when the phone is connected via AA Wireless, the incoming/outgoing phone calls are not shown on the handset. The only way to manage the calls is through the car head unit.
This was never the case with the wires AA that came inbuilt with the car.
Car.. Nissan Sentra 2019
Phone.. OnePlus 5
