When using audio out jack callers can not hear me #21

Running CM1.7

I use my phone in the car as my complete source of entertainment and communication. My car stereo does not have bluetooth but it does have audio in so I connect the headphone jack of my TBolt to the aux-in on my car stereo. Most things work beautifully EXCEPT phone calls.

When connected as above I can hear the caller but they can NOT here me. If I hit speaker phone then they can hear me but of course it's hard to hear them since the TBolt's speaker isn't meant to fill a car with audio.

Any workarounds appreciated.

Have had this issue for several versions. 1.6.1 did work somewhat but the callers complained it was very hard to hear me when not on speaker phone. With 1.7 and 1.5 and earlier the caller can not hear me at all. (BTW - worked fine with Froyo ROM's so I know it's not a hardware issue)

Even on stock this did not work for me. I do the same thing, connecting my Phone to an Aux-in port, but it does not work. I tried it because it used to work with my Droid 2 but now does not on my Thunderbolt. Again, not even on stock did it work for me.

This worked(s) fine on my tbolt when running Froyo as well as some of the current BAMF versions of GB ROM's. (Haven't run them all so that's why I said some)

Any CM based ROM seems to have the problem for me. (The other ASOP ROM's names escape my failing brain at the moment)

Same for me. BAMF ROMs work, but not cm7 (7.1.1 currently). This should at least be a configurable option. This and issue I'm having switching from BT handsfree to audio Jack are biggest limitations of cm7 for me.

Regarding switching from BT handsfree to audio out jack, CM was falsely accused. The fault is the Stitcher radio app that I listen to every day for NPR, etc. Rhapsody and Pandora work fine.
