I've added a webcam process sensor as described in my feature request here: https://github.com/sleevezipper/hass-workstation-service/issues/92 I think an extra sensor is the more appropriate solution. From https://github.com/sleevezipper/hass-workstation-service/pull/123 I learned how to add the sensor.
