So I moved on tried running sleuthkit-java_4.10.1-1_amd64 for install and get this error.
Selecting previously unselected package sleuthkit-java. dpkg: considering removing libtsk13 in favour of sleuthkit-java ... dpkg: no, cannot proceed with removal of libtsk13 (--auto-deconfigure will help): sleuthkit depends on libtsk13 (>= 4.4.1) libtsk13 is to be removed.
dpkg: regarding .../sleuthkit-java_4.10.1-1_amd64.deb containing sleuthkit-java: sleuthkit-java conflicts with libtsk13 libtsk13 (version 4.6.7-1build1) is present and installed.
dpkg: error processing archive /home/deadpool/Downloads/sleuthkit-java_4.10.1-1_amd64.deb (--install): conflicting packages - not installing sleuthkit-java
Followed the rest of the instructions and they all completed without error but the autopsy file isn't in /bin. Going to try going through the instructions one more time and see if I missed anything.
So going through the steps again, when I run the autopsy setup I get this: Checking prerequisites and preparing Autopsy:
Checking for PhotoRec...found in /usr/bin Checking for Java...ERROR: JAVA_HOME environment variable must be defined.
When I go back to check the Java I get this:
bellsoft-java8-full is already the newest version (1.8.0.282+8)
Is the version too new?
