Magnet/Metalink support #58

I don't know if there is a way to do this already but, I wish you actually could press the magnet links and download using uGet.

It is done somewhere in windows or just not support by the wrapper?

uGet supports Magnet/Metalink via the aria2 plugin so you would need that enabled. Aria2 doesn't need to be primary but it does need to be enabled.

The extension should be able to detect them but I don't think it does by default because of uGet not having it by default. If you edit the "Interrupt URLs" field and add ".metalink" and ".magnet" then it should work.

Thanks Michael! I didn't realise I should use "" and then separate by ,

I really love uGet and have been a fan since I first discovered it, so thanks again! You just made my day. :D

You're welcome and I am glad you like our application. :)

Out of curiosity, how long have you been using uGet?

D4YN3X commented 6 years ago

Hello agian, I been using uGet for around 2 years now, keeps getting better :D

I just found out it still doesn't open uGet when clicking on magnet links. So what to do?

slgobinath commented 6 years ago

Hi, Magnet links are not downloadable links. That may be the reason why they are not interrupted by uGet. You can right-click on a magnet link and select 'Download with uGet'.

D4YN3X commented 6 years ago

Hello, I see, but it could be perfect if it just understood to download without any right click. uGet that is pretty much the last big feature they need from my point of view, ofc not the last but most wanted from me right now...
