Note that I have no M1 macs and zero interest in giving Apple my money for the privilege, so any bugs that are Mac-specific are automatically at the bottom of the pile. I'll look at patches but cannot debug.

@lordofhyphens: I don't think there is much to debug. The program will still run, but you have to just get past the restriction warning; the true fix would be to get the application properly certified/trusted to run a mac which would bypass that warning but it is still usable at the moment (although it does not run on Mac OS Montery; I get a "perl-local quit unexpectedly" since that update and the program dies immediately and is unusable, but that's belongs in a new issue)
I've repeatedly tried to get the signing to work correctly but have not had the time or the modern OSX install to test the entire flow. Paid them their tax as well.
