Explore tab navigates back to Welcome tab without user interaction #69

The "Explore" and "Suggest" tab intermittently navigate back to the "Welcome" tab with no user input. In the video below, after rendering the scatterplot the page navigates back to the "Welcome" tab with no user input.

@sljardine - I just tried reproducing this again, and the app seems to function normally now. I also experienced 30+ second delays for scatterplots to display earlier in the evening. By any chance, were you updating any underlying data today ~8 PM?
