Basic support is now in the code base. I think v1 could be a widget that 
displays 
your  friend's most recent checkins, as with a 15 (?) minute polling rate, 
location 
dependent information might not be very relevant.

With the basic infrastructure in place, we can easily support one type of 
widget -- 
Do you want to go about designing one? If you've seen the facebook widget, with 
its 
little arrows that allow you to flip through updates is kind of what I was 
thinking 
of but I am leaving it up to you.

Also, that one is really large, its rude, IMO to take up that much space so I 
was 
thinking that the widget might end up being pretty much the same as our 
"checkin list 
item" photo, name, location and update in a compact form.
