Text doesn't render in new recording schedules layout #70

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. From the main mythbox menu select Recording schedules.
2. Note that the "table" is blank.
3. Scroll up and down and you can hear the focused object changing even
though you can't see anything.
4. Hit enter and you'll get the popup window to edit the selected recording
schedule (even though you couldn't see any of the recording schedules in
the list)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to see the list of recording schedules. Instead, you see nothing
(no text rendered).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
mythbox-svn-1556.tar.gz on Windows Vista Business 64-bit.

Please provide any additional information below.
I am running on XBMC 9.04repack2. Also, my backend is a mythbuntu 9.04
with mythtv 0.21.

Not able to reproduce on vista ultimate 64bit. can you attach your xbmc.log
file?

I certainly can. I also tried completely removing mythbox, and its associated
user
data and then installing the 1556 release again (to elmiminate the possibility
of
files from an older version causing issues), but with no luck.

I'm not sure how frequently xbmc rolls its logs over, so let me know if this
doesn't
contain what you are looking for and I'll start with a fresh log and go
directly to
reproducing the problem and then directly out again.

I was just able to repeat this on my Vista Home Premium 32-bit on my laptop.
Same
version of XBMC installed, and same Mythbuntu 9.04 backend.

The other difference on my original machine is that I had opted to store my XBMC
settings (skins, scripts, etc) outside of my <user>\<appdata> directory due to
low
space on my C:\ drive. I had thought maybe that was playing a role, but on this
laptop I went with the default option in the XBMC install and still have the
problem.

One final difference between my two machines is that the Vista 64-bit machine
has an
HD 5850 in it, while the laptop has a 9800m GTS. So, it doesn't seem to be
linked to
the video card.

The other oddity is that from the screenshots you posted, this Recording
Schedules
page looks very similar to the Upcoming Recordings page; and the Upcoming
Recordings
page works great for me.

Let me know if you want new logs.

OK, this is off the 64-bit machine. I turned on debug logging for it as well.

I had a few free minutes and installed xbmc plus mythbox on my mythbuntu 9.04
frontend machine. Tested this bug out and it happens here as well (i'm using
the
xbmc ppa for ubuntu jaunty for my xbmc install). Attaching both xbmc and
mythbox logs.

Note that I removed IP and password settings from the log file on purpose; they
are
correctly set.

Just a quick update. I've tested for this bug with a Mythtv 0.22 backend now
and it
still exists.
