Crater size near poles #6

From ESA: When trying to place the same crater at the equator and the out to the poles, the size on the map increases significantly (also in the other apps, see later). Is this just to do with the map projection? It looks a bit odd – maybe we need to insert a caveat somewhere? True for Earth and Mars.

It will increase in size as you go near the poles due to the map projection; the pole is a point stretched to the full map width.
