Could you clarify which part is not intuitive? Is it the slider, the time unit, or both?
Regarding the range of duration (min/max), the custom phases feature is still under development and will undergo some changes in the future.
Regarding #111, similarly to TM:PE from CS1, can custom phases in 0.3p potentially be changed from a simple slider that isn't very intuitive to setting up minimum/maximum phase duration times using numbers (seconds) per phase, and maybe the little extra features that the min/max times bring? Pretty much as this image: (Credits to ConflictNerd, LinuxFan and the rest of the developers who've worked on TM:PE).
I'm not sure if this can be done as of now due to the games engine or if this is something in the works?
