Unable to place and remove the signal itself #29

Thanks for the wonderful mod.

By the way, it appears that by assigning the signal placement menu to "Traffic Lights Enhancement", it is no longer possible to place and remove signals, which was possible in vanilla. Am I mistaken, or is it actually possible?

It seems to me that there is no longer a way to add a signal to a narrow intersection with no signal.

I'm able to place and remove them on my steam deck. I believe if you right click, you can remove the signal on PC, but I'll test that later to be sure. The trouble I'm running into is if I decided to place a stop sign, it deletes the custom lane assignments, and if lanes meet at an angle, the lane assignments may not work as intended.

As of mod version 0.2.1-RC I am able add and remove traffic lights as per the vanilla game (right click to remove a traffic light, left click to add). I am also not finding my lane configuration changing when I remove stop signs, though I do not have a Steam Deck to test.

Thank you for your reply, it appears I was mistaken.

However, even if this is not an issue with the mod itself, I still have concerns about the stability of the Vanilla behavior, particularly with the inability to place and remove traffic lights at intersections of two-lane roads. I am going to look into this issue more closely.

@okunokentaro Could you share a screenshot of the junction where you are having trouble placing or removing traffic lights?

okunokentaro commented 7 months ago

Apologies for the delayed response. I am attaching the relevant screenshots.

At this intersection, I am unable to install traffic lights with a left-click, and right-clicking seems to have no effect. Additionally, the rendering of the intersection while hovering the mouse over it looks somewhat strange. This might be a bug in the Vanilla.

I myself could not replicate the issue, I created a similar setup, suspecting it might be because you have nodes close to the Junction, but still had no issues. Looks based on the picture to be a rendering issue. My suggestions might be to ensure the mod is updated to the latest release and possibly (and admittedly annoying) is try destroying the roads and replacing them.

Another question, is this the only intersection you have issues with or are there others causing issues?

This issue is not isolated to this intersection; it occurs at all intersections with similar lane counts.

However, these roads have been in place since I purchased the Cities Skylines 2. I haven't placed them after any version updates, so it's likely that this is an issue with Vanilla rather than the mod.

Since it doesn't seem to be a problem with the mod, I will try building a different road to check further. Thank you for your assistance.

image I am having the same issue I am on the latest version, but my setup is different. when I left or right-click on a traffic light intending to remove it nothing happens. I am playing on windows

Is this the only crossing exhibiting the issue, or do all crossings with a similar setup have the same problem?

I'm unable to reproduce the problem with the setup you've shown. However, I did find a similar issue affecting only two-lane roads. (See #59)
